Obsidian as a Tool for Learning

πŸ”₯Thought#note/thought

I have been up and down with engaging with Obsidian and Writing as a Tool for Learning. I recently used this method to facilitate learning all about Nuclear Fusion and it has reminded me how powerful this tool and method are.

So here I'll be capturing my thoughts on how to use Obsidian effectively.

In it's most basic format Obsidian is a tool for facilitating the creation of a Zettelkasten Slip-box. The goal of improving my notetaking is Building Perspective by Accumulating a Latticework of Theories and Mental Models.

As I write I am summarizing my thoughts through narrowing and broadening the context. Within Obsidian as I broaden the context I create notes upstream from my current note, a note containing my existing thought. As I narrow the context I create notes downstream from my current note, adding a link with a summary title which fits within the context of my existing note.
