Tritium is radioactive hydrogen isotope containing two neutrons in it's nucleus. Tritium's half life is 12 years so it is not readily available naturally. Because Tritium is not readily available naturally it needs to be produced as part of the Fusion power plan, this is done with Tritium Breeding Blankets.
Helium-3 might be an alternative to Tritium.
