Truth can be created from stories. In Yuval Noah Harari's book Nexus he explains that in in addition to the objective and subjective interpretation of events that we understand well, there is an intersubjective reality that develops from broadly agreed on subjective things.
The easiest example is currency, which is a story we tell that doesn't become a reality until enough people agree on it. It is very clear that if I say today I've created a new currency called Kyle Bucks that it would be my subjective opinion that this is a real currency. Others will hold the subjective opinion that it's not a real currency. Eventually if I convince enough people that it's real it becomes an intersubjective reality and we can ascribe value to it. This is how all currencies were made. This is also how all governments were made and how we decide broadly on what is morally right and wrong.
Oddly enough this is an essential piece of Succeeding with Startups. Yuval Noah Harari validates my story about how Materia Chemistries came into existence. I told a story until enough people believed it and it became real.
